We have studied what is wrong, created diagnostic labels to fit those problems, and lived in the problem. Very little study has been done on happiness, and how to create more of it! It was not until 2002 that the First International Conference on Positive Psychology took place. It wasn’t until 2011 that Martin Seligman published his landmark book, Flourish.
But there is more to the story than a few good books or international conferences on Positive Psychology. There is now research to back the methods of these approaches. They show Positive Psychology Interventions (PPI) reduce depression levels and improve well-being. Studies show PPI improves health, happiness, and well-being.
